Windows Embedded Industry is an adapted version of Windows XP and Microsoft is continuing to patch this O.S.
To enable this patch to be installed on Windows XP Systems you can follow this registry change:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\PosReady]
“Installed”=dword:00000001
This workaround will give you the ability to install Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 patch compatible with Windows XP 32 bit
