If you are facing searching problems on Outlook 2007/201x/365 a possible solution it could be:

1. Windows 7/8/10 --> control panel --> Indexing Options --> Advanced --> TroubleShoogint (Delete and rebuild index) --> REBUILD

2.  If you will not find emails you should:

1. Stop windows Search service.
2. restart Outlook
3. Execute cmd with Administrative rights
   net stop wsearch
4. Set to 0 this key:
   
   HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows Search\SetupCompletedSuccessfully
